Knit this adorable Counting Sheep Hat with an entire herd of cute sheep surrounding it! The pattern includes three different sizes. With a reversible double knit design and an optional pom-pom, you can create four different looks from the same hat!
Double knit in the round from the bottom up, the hat features opposite color schemes on either side. Use two solid colors for a classic look or a solid paired with a variegated yarn for a more interesting color combination (gradual or subtle color changes work best). The bottom ribbing is done in a single color rather than changing on each side. The color work design is chart only, not written instructions.
Instructions are included for the double knitting technique. The hat sizes included with the pattern are:
- Small (child) – Fits head size 18”-20” (45.7-50.8 cm)
- Medium (teen or average adult woman) – Fits head size 20”-22” (50.8-55.9 cm)
- Large (average adult man) – Fits head size 22”-24” (55.9-61 cm)
This pattern includes a double knit decrease. View the video tutorial: Double Knit Decrease Tutorial.
